By downloading, accessing, or using the Selv Skin mobile application (the "App"), or by creating a Selv Skin account, you agree to these Terms of Use and Medical Disclaimer ("Terms"). Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information and is part of these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are under 18, you should review these Terms with a parent or guardian.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account (section 8). The App confirms your age before an account is created. Everything except sync and community features works without an account.
The App provides general, informational content about skincare routines, product ordering, and commonly reported ingredient interactions. This content is for informational and organizational purposes only and does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The App is not a medical device.
The App's ingredient tags, conflict warnings, ordering suggestions, schedules, and routine recommendations are based on general cosmetic-industry information. They are not exhaustive, may not reflect a product's current formulation, and may not identify every interaction, allergen, or sensitivity relevant to you. The absence of a warning does not mean a combination or product is safe for your skin.
Skincare results vary from person to person. You are responsible for the products you choose to purchase and apply. You agree to patch test new products, to read and follow product labels, and to discontinue use of any product that causes irritation or an adverse reaction. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you assume all risk arising from your use of skincare products, whether or not tracked in the App.
Product names, prices, and sizes shown in the App are estimates provided for convenience and may be outdated or inaccurate. The App may contain links to third-party websites or services (including retailers, the stores you choose in Where I Shop, and our newsletter provider); we are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices. The App contains affiliate links: when you shop through links in the App, Selv Skin LLC may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate, Selv Skin LLC earns from qualifying purchases. The App may in the future include sponsored content, which will be disclosed. Neither affiliate relationships nor sponsored presentation ever alter the App's ingredient warnings, recommendations, or safety guidance.
Without an account, the App stores what you enter on your device and we do not receive it.
With an account, a copy of your routine, including health-related details such as sensitivities and prescription products you track, is stored on our servers so it can sync, as described in our Privacy Policy and, for Washington and Nevada residents, our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy. You give that consent on the sign-up screen and withdraw it by deleting your account.
Optional and for adults. An account is not required to use the App. Accounts are available to people 18 or older, and are currently offered in the United States.
Signing in. You sign in with Apple or with a code we email you; there is no password. Keep your Apple ID and your email account secure. You are responsible for activity under your account, and you agree to tell us at hello@selvskin.com if you believe someone else has used it.
One account per person. Use your own email address, do not create accounts for other people, and do not create more than one account for yourself.
Sync. The copy on your phone is the one the App trusts. If the same item is changed on two devices while one is offline, the most recent change wins. Keep an export (Profile, then Export My Data) before switching phones. We are not responsible for changes lost to conflicting edits or to deleting the App without an export.
Deleting your account. Profile, then Delete Account, at any time. Server copies are removed as described in the Privacy Policy. The copy on your phone stays until you delete the App.
Suspension. We may suspend or delete an account that violates these Terms, that we reasonably believe belongs to someone under 18, or that has been unused for 24 months, in the last case after emailing you first.
A public profile is off by default. If you turn one on, only the fields you choose (display name, avatar icon, skin type, and streak or score badges) are visible to other Selv Skin users, along with your follower and following counts. Other users can follow you and you can follow them. You can unfollow, block, or report anyone from inside the App.
Community rules. You agree not to:
Display names and avatar icons are subject to the same rules.
Enforcement. We may remove content, restrict features, or suspend or delete accounts for violations, with or without notice. We are not obligated to monitor the community, but we may. Reports go to hello@selvskin.com and are reviewed by a person.
Anything you choose to make public can be seen by other users and may be copied by them. Keep that in mind when you choose what to show.
You own what you enter in the App. So that the App can work, you give Selv Skin LLC a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to store, copy, back up, and sync your content, and, only for the fields you choose to make public, to display them to other users. This license lasts while your account exists and ends when you delete it, except for backup copies, which are removed as described in the Privacy Policy. We do not use your content in marketing, and we do not sell it.
If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them to improve the App without any obligation to you.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App or sync will be uninterrupted, timely, error-free, or free of data loss.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Selv Skin LLC and its owner shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, for loss of data, or for any skin reaction, injury, or loss arising from or related to your use of the App or of any product tracked, suggested, or linked in the App. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the past twelve months or fifty US dollars ($50).
The App, including its design, text, graphics, rule set, and logos, is owned by Selv Skin LLC and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Third-party product names and brands belong to their respective owners and are used for identification only.
You may stop using the App, or delete your account, at any time. We may suspend or end your access as described in sections 8 and 9. Sections 3 to 7 and 10 to 18 continue to apply after your use ends.
The App is distributed through Apple's App Store. These Terms are between you and Selv Skin LLC, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App and is not responsible for any claim relating to it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. Your use of the App must also comply with the App Store's terms of service.
We may update the App and these Terms from time to time. Material changes are announced in the App and, if you have an account, by email, before they take effect. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
If you have a problem with the App, email hello@selvskin.com first. Most issues are resolved within 30 days. Any claim that cannot be resolved that way is brought in the state or federal courts located in Colorado, and you consent to their jurisdiction, except that either of us may bring a qualifying claim in small claims court.
